Travel Report: Walker Wyatt Coffee – Tooting Bec, London.

May 2019. It was Henry who introduced me to Walker Wyatt Coffee during my first visit to Tooting Bec back in October 2015. I was immediately hooked, from the perfectly pitched latte and heavenly flapjack to the chatty staff who quickly learn what regular customers usually order.
May 2019. Instinctively, I knew I’d found my local café and indeed this was my first regular Tooting coffee haunt whenever I returned to London in between stints living abroad.
May 2019. Walker Wyatt Coffee isn’t the biggest place, so I soon learned to avoid the morning rush hours when streams of customers pour in on their way to Tooting Bec Underground Station, which is literally a hop, skip and a jump away across the road.
May 2019. Walker Wyatt Coffee is the brainchild of Walker Wyatt Estate Agents They used to have a large office down Tooting Bec Road Road before joining forces with the cafe sometime in 2009. After a while the estate agents closed and they set up a small office space right in the cafe itself, discreetly tucked away in the corner. Most days you’ll see a suited Walker Wyatt bloke clicking away behind a big desk. Needless to say his morning cuppa gets hand delivered every morning.
When The Fairy came to visit Tooting Bec in April 2019 I just had to take her to Walker Wyatt Coffee. She’d never had an English sausage roll before, nor indeed a caramel shortbread. Can you imagine such an existence?!
