Visit Denmark

Visit Denmark.
One long ago summer I loaded up my backpack and headed off to Denmark to see a girl. There hadn’t been much planning, it was all very spontaneous. With the promise of romance and adventure, I left England full of anticipation. However, things didn’t work out quite as I’d hoped and within a few days I found myself travelling solo.

Nevertheless, the country had enough charms to leave me with fond memories. During my travels, I got to meet The Little Mermaid in Copenhagen. I also travelled to Odense to visit the birthplace of her creator, Denmark’s most celebrated writer.

Moreover, there was viking flavoured fun in Roskilde, a trip to one of the country’s most picturesque castles and a dramatic police raid back in the capital’s so-called free state of Christiana. All things considered, I’ll certainly never forget my two weeks exploring Denmark.
