Travel Report: Shuangtou Bridge – Hangzhou, China.
October 2017. I must have covered every inch of West Lake’s gorgeous parkland during my five days in Hangzhou. One of the lake’s great joys are its beautifully sculpted bridges and if you had to hand out top prize to just one it would probably be Shuangtou Bridge, located in Changqiao Park near Tangyun Art Gallery.
October 2017. It won’t take you more than five minutes to work your way down the simple stone pathway, over the sloping arch and into Shuangto Bridge’s sole wooden gazebo.
October 2017. Shuangtou bridge provides some truly wonderful West Lake views on one side, while in the other direction you’ve got lush, landscaped gardens framed by Hangzhou’s grand hotels and cloud-piercing skyscrapers.
October 2017. Shuangtou Bridge really comes into its own at dusk. The colours will take your breath away, but be prepared to share the experience with a million and one friends.
October 2017. Sunset sees local photographers flock to Changqiao Park to setup their tripods and grab shots of Shuangtou Bridge in the fading light.
