Anyone looking for a slice of raw, off-the-beaten track China should consider a trip to Taishun County in rural Zhejiang Province, a couple of hours southwest of Wenzhou.
Taishun County is a stunning region of village communities, ancient covered wooden bridges, streams, reservoirs, forests and mountains. It’s also one of China’s best kept secrets, most travelers have never even heard of it, let alone been here.
