Visit East Lothian

Visit East Lothian: Dunbar Battery.
I can’t even begin to explain how strange it felt to find myself reunited with the Scottish county of East Lothian. After all, I was barely nineteen years old when I first arrived here in the late 1990s.
Back then I lived initially outside and then in the town of Haddington, where I held down a couple of jobs. One at the local Tesco, another at the town’s now defunct job centre. Unfortunately, that job centre is long gone and is now a solicitors.

Visit East Lothian: The market town of Haddington.
Fittingly, it was one of my closest friends and former colleagues, Spackles, who joined me for this grand tour of my former stomping grounds. Twenty years on from our Haddington heyday, we took a highly nostalgic walk down Memory Lane.
Laughs were had, truths were confronted, ghosts were exorcised. And then it was into the car for a wonderful few days exploring East Lothian’s beautiful towns, villages, churches and beaches.
