Perched on the edge of Loch Linnhe, and as the gateway to Ben Nevis and the famous Witch’s trails, nature enthusiasts have tagged this place “The outdoor capital of the UK”.

In addition to its wondrous landscapes, there’s bags of history around Fort William. Furthermore, I’ve recently come to realise that its somewhat bedraggled town centre has plenty to offer if you know where to look.
