The Beatles in Liverpool

The Beatles in Liverpool.
I’ve been listening to The Beatles for as long as I can remember. They were blasting through the house when I was growing up and they had their own special place in my various apartments as an adult.

With framed photographs on the walls, a row of hardbacks on my bookshelves and the complete discography on display, visitors certainly knew what I thought of The Fab Four.
Moreover, I had Beatles DVDs, fridge magnets and key rings, in addition to a much-loved John Lennon t-shirt. All packed away in boxes now, such is the life of a nomadic travel blogger.

It’s incredible really that it took me so long to finally make the pilgrimage to Liverpool, the English city where The Beatles’ incredible story kicked off.
But that’s what I finally managed to do in May 2019, when an old friend and I rolled into town to dive deep into the world of John, Paul, George and Ringo.

The Beatles in Liverpool: The Cavern Club.
Staying at The Hard Days Night Hotel (where else?), we saw the museums and soaked up the music itself at the legendary Cavern Club.
Most memorable of all, we took the exceptional Mad Day Out: Beatles Taxi tour, where we saw the boys’ childhood homes and discovered countless secret spots we otherwise may have missed.
