Visit Daegu

Visit Daegu.
In April 2019 I finished my third teaching contract in China. Footloose and fancy free, I jetted off to South Korea to catch up with my old travel buddy Wonderboy, based in the city of Daegu.
Moreover, my brother and his fiancee came to join us from the city of Jeonju, where they were based. I’d not seen Cory in over two years and neither he nor Kaley had met Wonderboy. As a result, a celebratory mood informed a memorable week of exploring!

I had a fantastic time in South Korea’s fourth largest city. This sprawling metropolis is quite under the radar with international tourists, despite being home to a number of unique sights.
Firstly, you’ve got one of Asia’s oldest traditional medicine markets. We also visited a clutch of stunning churches, an impressive lake and a magnificent food market.

Furthermore, I’ll certainly never forget the cosy memorial street and museum dedicated to Kim Kwang-seok, one of Korea’s most beloved singer songwriters.
