Both my visits to Austria were weekend trips to Vienna. My first adventure unfolded on an uncompromisingly wet weekend in October 2002. Happily, the excellent company of my two newfound friends Jon and Ben made it an unforgettable trip.

And I got to see the Austrian capital again when I returned in June 2003. In contrast to that first trip, this time I arrived in a larger group for what turned out to be a gloriously sunny couple of days.
