Visit Danang

Visit Danang: The Happy Yacht.
It was late April, 2018, when my monthlong travels across Vietnam brought me to the coastal city of Danang. After sleepy Dong Hoi and the imperial delights of Hue, it was cool to be in the bright lights of a large, modern city again.
I’d certainly been looking forward to Danang. A vibrant and fast developing metropolis, it is home to a genuinely gorgeous stretch of coastline with swanky beach resorts.

However, Danang is no mere beach hangout. Visitors can also take in one of the country’s most wondrous bridges, in addition to the sublime Monkey Mountain and Marble Mountains.
In fact, climbing to the summit of Thuy Son (Water Mountain), with its caves and shrines, definitely deserves a place on my best of Vietnam list.

Moreover, Danang wows its guests with an excellent food and drink scene. I was especially impressed with the good people of The Happy Heart Cafe, while the massive Happy Yacht is surely the city’s best sunset spot for drinks and a bite. Elsewhere, there are thriving markets, trendy coffee houses and a handsome cathedral.
